Trelan Farm has been home to our family for more than 75 years, and today I’m incredibly proud to be the third generation looking after this very special corner of North Wales.

My late husband Wynne and I created Trelan Farm Luxury Getaways together, alongside life on the farm with our three children, Betrys, Iori and Ani.

The farm has changed enormously over the years – if the old stone walls could talk, they would have quite the story to tell. Today, alongside our four retreats, the farm is home to beef cattle, sheep, chickens and an abundance of wildlife. We wake to birdsong and regularly spot hares, owls and pheasants around the fields.
We’ve always known how lucky we are to live in what we consider one of the most beautiful parts of the UK. We’re close enough to the city to be easily accessible, yet once you turn up the country lanes towards Trelan, it can feel a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Before Trelan, I worked in a job involving long hours and lots of travelling, and I loved that feeling of coming home, driving up the lanes and feeling everything begin to slow down. Wynne and I always felt that Trelan was simply too special to keep to ourselves.
Back in 2017, shortly after Betrys was born, we applied for planning permission for our first glamping cabins. Permission was granted and, a month before Iori arrived, our first cabin was delivered. Our timing wasn’t exactly perfect – a global pandemic was just around the corner – but we welcomed our first guests in June 2019 and never looked back.
The Wonder Wagon joined us in 2020, followed by Luna’s Lookout, (our youngest daughter Ani too) Lil’s Lookout and finally Leo’s Lookout, completing our little collection of four individually designed retreats for two.
Trelan Farm Luxury Getaways was something Wynne and I were immensely proud to create together, and it remains a very special part of our family and our farm. Today, I continue to run Trelan with the same aim we had from the beginning: to give our guests somewhere beautiful to slow down, switch off and enjoy proper time together.
The best part is still hearing how much our guests have loved their stay. Every lovely message and review means more to us than you probably realise.
