About Us
.
We, Wynne & Catherine, are the third generation farmers here at Trelan Farm. We live on the farm with our three children, Betrys, Iori & Ani (hopefully the fourth generation of farmers!) and Wynne’s parents, Emyr & Sandra.
.
The farm has been farmed by our family for over 75 years and over the years has seen many changes, oh if the old stone walls could talk they would tell quite the story. Currently we farm beef cattle and sheep. In May this year, Iori received 10 chickens for his 5th birthday, so they have joined the farm too. We wake up to the glorious bird song and are visited by all types of wildlife from Hares, Owls & Pheasants.
.
We know we are lucky enough to live in what we consider to be one of the most beautiful places in the UK. We’re so close to the city yet a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Catherine, having previously worked in a job that involved long hours and travelling all over, loved experiencing the relief of leaving it all behind and truly switching off when driving up those country lanes and hearing the bird song, we always knew Trelan Farm was too good to keep to ourselves.
.
Back in 2017, just after the birth of our first daughter Betrys, we applied for planning permission for glamping cabins. Permission was granted and a month before we welcomed our son Iori (pronounced Yoree) the first cabin was delivered. Albeit not the best timing with a global pandemic around the corner but we loved every minute of welcoming our first guests in June 2019 and we’ve not looked back since.
.
The Wonder Wagon arrived at Christmas time 2020 and we’ve not had an empty weekend since. Luna’s Lookout arrived this October (Ani our youngest arriving the October before) and in September 2023 Lil’s Lookout arrived to replace the Cargo Cabin. We have the fourth and final cabin joining us in September – watch this space!
.
The absolute best part of the job, if you can call it that – we love what we do, is meeting guests and reading the amazing reviews which confirms that guests love Trelan as much as we do.
We hope to see you soon, Wynne, Catherine & family x
