We couldn’t agree more with the age old saying “A  Sunday well spent brings a week of content” and what better way to finish the week with a slap up Sunday roast (and all the trimmings!). Here are our top five recommendations in the Flintshire area.

1. Cross Keys, Sychdyn

This cozy country pub offers great service alongside tasty, homecooked food. Recommended to us by family & friends and now a firm favorite, the Cross Keys Sychdyn has a fantastic atmosphere and is definitely worth a visit. It is around 15 minute drive away from Trelan Farm.

2. White Horse, Cilcain

The White Horse in Cilcain is the perfect post walk pub! A handy 15 minute walk away from the Lookouts & Wonder Wagon, the pub offers tasty roasts alongside other dishes (the beef ragu is SO good) and on cooler days a roaring fire. The pub gets very busy so booking in advanced is advised!

3. Mold Golf Club

Despite the confusing name, Mold Golf Club is actually in the next village, Pantymwyn. If you like big portions this is the place to visit! We have only ever had the takeaway Sunday roast but they do offer a dine in carvery option too. Again, booking is advisable as it is very popular with locals.

4. Waffle Box , Mold

Bit of a wild card here but with Waffle Box, Mold now being open on Sunday we couldn’t not include it! Waffle Box is relatively new to Mold but there is a reason its ranked number one restaurant in Mold on trip advisor! Lynsey and the team go out of their way to make you welcome. The savoury and sweet waffles are equally amazing and you can’t visit without trying their new bubble tea.

Have you had a tasty Sunday roast in Flintshire? Let us know what your faves are – we will give them a go – all in the name of market research of course! We offer one night stays every Sunday in all three of our boutique cabins all year round. View our latest availability here on our website and get in touch if we can help at all hello@trelanfarm.co.uk.
